AUTOMOTIVE MARKETING SPECIALIST

POSITION DETAILS
J.R. Thompson Company seeks an astute marketing professional to help administer and promote our clients’ multi-faceted marketing programs. Primary responsibilities include providing support services to an automotive dealership network and working with our agency team to coordinate the completion of marketing campaigns and client projects. The ideal candidate has agency experience, is adept at both written and verbal communication, and is a fast-learner that excels in a fast-paced work environment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide liaison and customer support services to dealership network and client management
- Train dealers regarding client marketing programs
- Assist with dealer-level marketing planning and execution
- Coordinate creative development of custom dealer marketing campaigns with in-house agency staff
- Database dealership feedback and process claims
Coordinate client projects and marketing items
- Assist team to coordinate the completion of client projects and requests, working with internal art, Web and IT groups
- Communicate with clients to provide updates
- Execute marketing tactics to drive dealer participation
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in business, marketing or communications)
- Minimum two years related marketing experience, preferably in an automotive environment (automotive service and parts experience is a plus)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint required; Access and Visio preferable)
- Experience at short- and long-term marketing planning and strategy
- Able to manage multiple projects at once; flexibility and problem-solving are critical
- Strong communications and relationship-building skills; must be a team player with a positive attitude
- Able to work well in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment, while maintaining great attention to detail
